Before becoming a hypnotherapist Emma was a Paramedic for 17 years and then, after having her son, worked in a school for children with additional support needs. She herself had hypnotherapy and it was here that her new career began. Emma trained in Portsmouth with the Hampshire School of Hypnotherapy (accredited by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council) attaining her Diploma (with distinction) in Hypnotherapy. She also received Certificates in Clinical Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy, Hypno-Neuro Linguistic Programming and the Hypno-Gastric Band. Emma is registered with both the General Hypnotherapy Register and the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council and is fully insured for her practice. Emma can help you with anxiety, fears and phobias about dental treatments by using a blend of clinical hypnosis, hypnotherapy, psychotherapy and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). Under hypnosis the root cause of your issue is found, dealt with and then released for good, allowing you to move forward. You can also be taught a simple, yet effective, self-hypnosis technique to allow you to stay calm and relaxed in stressful situations. Emma works from her practice north of Stonehaven near Portlethen and also from the Aberdeen Wellbeing Centre in Aberdeen city centre.
